Students participate in small groups in a game where they toss a ball/beanbag from person to person to match the order that oxygen travels inside the body during respiration. In the second activity, "Take a Breath! Board Game," students compose questions and answers about the parts of the respiratory system to create game cards. They will then play the game in small groups. This educator's guide provides a detailed lesson plan for instruction on the respiratory system. The guide includes questions for discussion, outlines of two classroom activities, a quiz for assessment, and reproducible student handouts.
