In this short presentation, students learn the function of the skin (and hair and nails) and how it helps the body to remain healthy. The presentation includes information on how the skin protects the body both inside and outside.
Students will learn how to investigate the touch sensory system to discover more about the skin and its sensory receptors. Through a variety of experiments, they will learn how touch information is important in motor tasks. Students will design their own experiment through an inquiry-based approach.
