This resource accompanies our Rethink Kindergarten ELA course. This unit was created by the Rethink Education Content Development Team. This course is aligned to the NC Standards for Kindergarten ELA in Language.

In this activity, students will be able to act out similar verbs and determine their intensity.

Students will be able to identify and act out common synonyms that convey shades of meaning.

In this lesson plan, students will distinguish shades of meaning among verbs. They will listen to Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? by Bill Martin Jr. and act out various ways to "go."
