Guide students to discuss the algorithm or process that they would use to find a value in an unsorted list and how that would be harder than in a sorted list. Students can use these free sites provided to learn and practice graphing strategies that will allow them to dig deeper into information in order to gain a stronger understanding of manipulating and understanding data.

In this task students use a US map to figure out the longest walk by drawing and measuring lines across various points of the map. The students will use this data to draw and complete a line plot and analyze the data.

This grade 5 unit of measurement lessons explores volume through 6 hands-on activities and 5 worksheets.

Students will plan and execute an emergency plan and kit to be used in case of severe weather in their community with their own families.
