This professional learning resource was created to provide the BT with one document which houses quick links to a majority of the main resources needed for planning. This "one-stop shop" keeps the BT focused on credible resources without having to search the various sites to locate the planning resources.

3 x 3 Vocabulary Challenge

Use within any subject

Need a bank of at least 10 words from a similar subject.

Students will put up to 5 words randomly in the grid.

Challenge: Make a sentence using each word in row 1. Challenge students to make sentences for each row and column in the grid.

Can be done collaboratively, or individual. Nice to mix it up!

This resource helps students learn the elements of poetry through shared practice of multiple poems by Shel Silverstein. It includes an assessment using Maya Angelou's "Still I Rise" poem.

This reading log can be used in reading centers or used for student homework.

Refugee by Alan Gratz focuses on the survival of three characters who flee their homelands during a period of war. The novel follows their journies to freedom and safety. While students read they would follow the characters' stories using 3-column notes focused on standard-based comprehension questions.

Once questions are targeted, This form can be used in a PLC to generate conversations around questions that were most missed by students. There is also a piece to reflect on what the teacher well to foster student performance.
