Using Desmos software, students will manipulate equations to fit certain graphs.
This lesson looks at how to determine the multiplicity of a zero/root of a polynomial function.
This is designed to be used as an assessment at the end of a unit on Polynomials. Studets are given requirements for the project but have the choice of using PowerPoint, Google Slides, Flipgrid, etc to represent their work. This was originally designed by Reed Bowman, Autumn Patterson, and Kori Elliott

8.EE.7 Solving Equations Quiz. Two versions. M is the standard version M1 is the modified version with simplified negatives and smaller multi-step equations. Both versions contain fractional problems too.
NCM1.A-REI.3 Solving linear equations and inequalities in one variable to include fractions.
Students are expected to learn how to factor polynomials with an emphasis on quadratic expressions. This a remix of the original unit plan that includes links to specific Kahoot games for formative assessment.
Solving 2-step equations involving decimals and fractions. This online lesson includes instruction via a Prezi presentation (which has audio and visual components), practice in the form of an online crossword puzzle, and assessment in the form of an online quiz with a variety of question types. There is also an engaging extension activity for students to extend their learning by creating thier own equations and solving them.
This lesson unit is intended to help teachers assess how well students are able to: translate between decimal and fraction notation, particularly when the decimals are repeating; create and solve simple linear equations to find the fractional equivalent of a repeating decimal; and understand the effect of multiplying a decimal by a power of 10.

Using Sphero robots in the classroom to enforce mathematical concepts and connections related to geometry, trigonometry, and basic algebra and introduce students to basic programming concepts. Students can explore through different tasks that deal with rate of change, distance formula (Pythagorean Theorem), angle of rotation (basic trigonometry), and related topics while applying those concepts to a physical activity. The Sphero tools also allow students with different programming experiences to tailor their work to fit their skill level from basic (block programming) to advanced (Java). The tasks also promote collaboration between students to problem solve issues on the fly as they work to reach a common goal or compete to outdo other groups.

This is an Algebra 2 Unit that explores sequences and series. This includes arithmetic, geometric, and other sequences, as well as recursive and explicit formulas that generate these sequences. Arithmetic, finite geometric, and infinite geometric series are also covered in this unit. This unit is designed as a flipped instructional unit. Worksheets and video links are provided.
This is a short unit introducing expressions.
Solving 2-step equations involving decimals and fractions. This online lesson includes instruction via a Prezi presentation (which has audio and visual components), practice in the form of an online crossword puzzle, and assessment in the form of an online quiz with a variety of question types.
This lesson unit is intended to help teachers assess how well students are able to: solve linear equations in one variable with rational number coefficients; collect like terms; expand expressions using the distributive property; and categorize linear equations in one variable as having one, none, or infinitely many solutions. It also aims to encourage discussion on some common misconceptions about algebra.
This lesson unit is intended to help teachers assess how well students are able to formulate and solve problems using algebra and, in particular, to identify and help students who have the following difficulties: solving a problem using two linear equations with two variables; and interpreting the meaning of algebraic expressions.
Students will solve radical equations with an index of two. These equations may include extraneous solutions. Activity should take about an hour for students to complete. Please not this resource does not completely cover standard M2.A.REI.A.2.
Students have mastered solving equations and looking at solutions graphically. This unit is an extension and will have students investigate how to find to two equations. This unit will utilize investigate and exploration, with some direct instruction, to solidify the process and procedures to finding and identifying solutions to systems.
In this activity, students are given a series of two-sided equations to solve. Multiple answer choices are provided for each equation.
Students will be able to solve a system of equations using substitution, elimination and graphing techniques. Primary focus is on linear systems with two variables. Exploration is on systems involving quadratics, linears and circles with graphing.
This lesson examines the process of completing the square as a method of solving quadratic equations.
